Alistair Edwards Japan and Aussie Photographs

Alistair Edwards
I was born and raised in Geraldton on the west coast of Australia. I've been traveling since I was 5 years old. My parents are English and my mother is a British Colonial so I had visited places like Kenya, South Africa and Zimbabwe all before I was 6 years old. The family took many trips to the UK when I was a boy. I wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed but I love reading so I've always got about 4 books on the go. I went to university and majored in Philosophy and then when I graduated I went to Japan and stayed there for 7 years teaching English at elementary schools and junior high schools. I made plenty of friends and met plenty of weirdoes there. It was in Japan that I seriously started taking pictures. Camera equipment is relatively cheap in Japan and there is a lot of it in Tokyo. There are also a ton of things to shoot in Tokyo and even now I want to go back to Tokyo to wander around the city to take pictures. I use Canon gear. An EOS 5D with 4 lenses. A 70-200mm F2.8L IS USM, 17-40mm F4L USM, 50mm F1.4 USM and an 85mm F1.8 USM. I really want to get a Lensbaby and a fisheye so that's next on the agenda.
